Fitted Fashion to launch custom design studio for jeans

Fitted Fashion, a producer of jeans is expected to launch its first custom design studio in New York City in early part of 2012. The new studio would take forward the firm's newly evolved concept of body scanning, in which the clients pass through a body scanning process, which helps them to get exact measurements.
According to the new concept, as clients walks in to either a Fitted Fashion outlet or a partner location, they would go through a digital tailoring process, based on which Fashion Fitted would stitch one or more pair of jeans for clients as per their desire and ship the same to their desired destination, Fitted Fashion co-founder Jamal Motlagh said.
He informed that the entire process takes around three minutes, which includes 30 seconds for scanning. Fitted Fashion utilizes the already available booths created by tech company (TC) to facilitate scanning facility. The new 3D scanning devises capture more than 400 measurements of entire body of a client using the white light.
Once the company obtains a client's measurement details, the same are inserted in custom software to generate various clothing designs. However, the company presently limits itself only to jeans.
Besides perfect measurement based stitching, the clients are also given an option to specify attributes like tightness, style and wash. Based on these attributes and measurements obtained through scanning, the jeans are accordingly cut and stitched at a central facility and the same are then delivered to the clients. If the clients wish to order any other garments in future, their measurements would be stored in company's database.
Till now, Fitted Fashion has decided to create its personalized collection of jeans, which would be vended under the brand name 'Acustom'. However, Mr. Motlagh looks forward to associate with other leading brands and retailers in future, and talks with suit and swimwear brands are already underway.
The system of Acustom jeans is much more accurate, quicker and less costly compared to getting the same done by approaching a tailor, avers Mr. Motlagh.
