Fiji's Mark One Apparel wins special award for exports

Mark One Apparel, Fiji's leading garment export firm, won the BSP Group Special Recognition Award at the Telecom Fiji Limited (TFL)-2011 Prime Minister's Exporter of the Year Awards.

Accepting the award, Mark Halabe, Managing Director of the garment export firm, said the award is result of their hard work. He added that it was great to achieve the success as it was beyond imagination that a Fiji firm can bag garment orders and export to the UK, and the award recognizes the same.

Mr. Halabe stated that the business award was in recognition of the hard work of the employees of the company and it reflects their efficiency in dealing with the best.

Mark One Apparel is looking forward to boost its UK business and also to get its ISO accreditation extended for another couple of years. This would take the firm and the country as well to another higher level of accreditation where they can substantiate before the world that even a Fijian firm can do it and can have any country in the world as its next export destination, he added.

Products like sportswear, school uniform, shirts, blouses and dresses mainly constitute the export basket of Mark One Apparel, which caters to markets like New Zealand, Australia and now even to the UK.
