BESTSELLER's Olympic Hope 2011

Each year, the award 'BESTSELLER's Olympic Hope' is presented as part of the Olympic partnership with the Danish elite sports organization, Team Danmark. The award is given to a young, promising athlete from Denmark who has a positive attitude and has shown great potential within his/her line of sport.
The three athletes nominated to become BESTSELLER's Olympic Hope 2011 are:
• Andreas Bube, athletics
• Stine Nielsen, shooting
• Henrik Stephansen, rowing
The award
BESTSELLER wants to support the athlete both in his/her sporting and personal life. It is important for BESTSELLER to find out what the individual athlete needs in order to match the support to those needs.
The award is worth DKK 100,000 including a DKK 25,000 BESTSELLER clothes sponsorship. The support, that BESTSELLER's Olympic Hope receives, should help pave the way for him/her to fulfill his/her Olympic dreams.
The winner will be presented at the annual Danish sports awards broadcasted live on Danish television on 7 January 2012.
Winner 2010
Last year's winner, badminton player Viktor Axelsen, has continued his amazing 2010 results in this season. With two Super Series quarter finals (in Denmark and Singapore), 1 senior title, 1 senior silver medal, 1 European Youth Championship title and a silver medal at the Junior World Championships, Viktor has truly amazed the badminton world.
In fact, his results this year have seen him move up from no. 66 in the world to no. 31, earning him the title of “World's most promising badminton talent” awarded by the Badminton World Federation this October. And still, Viktor is only 17 years old!
BESTSELLER is a family-owned company founded in Denmark, in 1975 by Merete Bech Povlsen and Troels Holch Povlsen. Today, the company directly employs more than 12,100 people of whom approx. 3,200 work in Denmark.
