Teko official licensed sock of Freeride World Tour

Teko Socks, an innovative leader in both performance and sustainable socks, has been named the official licensed sock of the Freeride World Tour.
As the world's premier series of big mountain skiing and snowboarding contests, the tour brings the world's best riders together on the best mountains in the ultimate freeride competition.
This year, with feedback from Teko's many sponsored freeriders in mind, Teko has designed a sock specifically for the Freeride World Tour to perform extremely well in the harshest of conditions.
The FWT Light is made from a SIN3RGI yarn, which is a fusion of superfine Merino wool and ultrafine recycled polyester. Light padding is positioned on the shin and throughout the foot area but with increased cushioning in the heel area, freeriders can ride for longer and harder than ever before.
Like all Teko socks, the FWT Light is produced exclusively in the USA using sustainable business practices and utilizing bluesign certification, GOTS certified organic merino wool and post-consumer recycled polyesters.
“Professional freeriders put their gear to the ultimate test in the harshest of conditions so they know good equipment,” said Shawn Pritchet, sales director for Teko. “Being recognized at this level for the quality and performance of our socks is a very high accolade for Teko.”
Entering its fifth season, the Freeride World Tour kicks off January 2012 in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France, with experienced big mountain riders competing against a new wave of young talent. The multi-event competition will make four stops across Europe:
Jan. 21-27 Chamonix Mont-Blanc, France
Feb. 25 – March 2 Roldal, Norway
March 9-16 Fieberbrunn, Austria
March 24 – April 1 Verbier, Switzerland
