Romano Apparels to launch babywear brand - Marshmallows

Little Kangaroos from Romano Apparels, launched in 1998 is carving out mega growth plans with the launch of its sub-brand - Marshmallows. Slated for a spring/summer 2012 launch, the collection covers the soft and cuddly range of pastels for new born to nine month olds.
The product line consists of rompers, co-ordinated sets, tops, bottoms for both boys & girls and so on, in the price range of Rs 199 to Rs 499. The new brand will be introduced through the company's existing EBOs and in select MBOs in a few cities and states like Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kerala.
For more than a decade, Little Kangaroo has become synonymous with the complete range of high-fashion and basic clothing for new-born and toddlers, boys and girls, not only in India but also on international shores. Hugely popular for its adage: “God Gifts Babies. We Gift Wrap Them”, Little Kangaroos has been dressing up Indian kids with its innovative garments from the time when Indian market had very little well known kids' brands.
Little Kangaroos is retailed through multi-brand outlets and is available in 400 MBOs at present with a network of 15 to 20 distributors throughout the country. The brand is also visible in large formats such as Central, Lifestyle, MAX, Globus, Standard, Chunmun, Big life and Kapsons.
“God gifts babies, we gift wrap them”, the interesting tag line for the brand sets it apart from others. Little Kangaroos sets itself apart by applying imagination, quality and functionality to its thoughts and products. It finds its customer base in “young, fashion conscious mothers who have an eye for details.”
Arun Lalwani, Director, Romano Apparels says, “Little Kangaroos has a strong supplier base – both in India and abroad, enabling customization and fabrication on a timely basis. Its strong distributor network in India is the reason behind the strength of the retail arm of the brand. Also, important trade consortiums like CMAI and AEPC have enabled it keep the company up to date and enjoy effective flow of information from the market”.
