Asda debuts body sculpting quick fix tights

George at Asda introduces a supermarket fashion first with the launch of the Bum Shaper Tights. Designed to lift the bottom, flatten the stomach and help women with a body sculpting quick fix following the indulgent festive season without having to resort to costly cosmetic surgery.
Research of over 1,000 women carried out this week revealed that over 59% of female shoppers felt that they had overindulged over the festive season and claim they had gained over 4 pounds - more than a quarter of a stone - to their figures. 73% believe their stomach was the area of their body that had gained the most weight, closely followed by their bottoms this festive season.
With losing weight and shaping up top of the New Year's resolution lists - George at Asda has launched the Great Bum Shaper Tights as part of its Bodysculpt range to help the nation's New Rear's resolutions.
The tights are complete with built-in inch-pinching technology in the shape of control panels lifting and circling the bottom - giving a smoother, rounder appearance without the need to buy separate support pants so you can wear those new Christmas undies and look great at the same time. In addition to this, the tights have an elastene panel which smoothes the stomach and eliminates the need for cumbersome "magic knickers" this New Year.
Fiona Lambert, George Brand Director said: "Over indulgence at Christmas is inevitable and clothing is always a lot more snug after the festive season. Women still want to look great in the New Year and to help their confidence we have created a great pair of tights to help them cheat their way to a slimmer figure in 2012.
"These tights follow in the success of the Great Bum Jeans launched earlier this year which sold 100 pairs a minute online in the first few hours of sale. We know our customers are big fans of shaping and control wear and we are keen to keep creating products to keep up with the demand. The Great Bum Jean will be back in stores at the end of this month following the fantastic response from customers."
Jeans were highlighted as the tightest fitting item of clothing in January with a third of Asda shoppers in agreement and another 33% highlighting that control garments are more essential after the festive season than at any other point throughout the year.
The tights are available in a range of sizes in stores and online at George's website for just £5 and the launch is perfectly timed to tackle those New Year bulges.
