Ekmatra – a premium lifestyle fashion store stocking clothing made out of handspun and handwoven khadi opened yet another outlet in Delhi.
All textile products sold in the store are environment friendly and in simple, elegant designs and pastel colours.
The collection at the store includes kurtas, trousers, shirts for men and embroidered saris and anarkali kurtis for women. The store also stocks a range of home textiles.
Ekmatra retail chain is managed by UP-based Sarvoday Ashram and its khadi products are targeted at urban consumers.
Sarvoday Ashram has endeavored towards generating employment for artisans and weavers in the rural handicraft as well as khadi sector.
The outlet was inaugurated by Virbhadra Singh, Minister for Micro Small & Medium Enterprises.
He said, “Khadi was synonymous with the swadeshi movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and now has become a fashion symbol”.
