Chinese domestic market to rescue clothing sector

The global economy is expected to be persistently plagued by European debt problems in 2012, which will result in Chinese export growth slowing down.

However on the flipside, Chinese consumer disposable income will steadily grow and lead to increasing sales of clothing in China's domestic market.

The Chinese textile and apparel sector is expecting a slowdown in European consumer spending in the current year and in turn a decline in shipments from the industry.

US textile and apparel imports from China are expected to remain stable, while Japan's imports are expected to slightly rise.
