Made-to-wear apparel segment growing fast in India

Apprising further, he says, “Customized clothing contributes about 15 percent to our total business and this is on the rise. More and more people are becoming aware of made-to-measure. People are now moving away from regular wear and are adopting a customized way of dressing. Three years back, made-to-measure accounted for less than 10 percent of our business, but now we are seeing a growth in it and expect the business to contribute 25 percent to our overall business in the next couple of years. At Brioni, the pricing for made-to-measure is almost same as ready-to-wear, but the customer will have to wait for about 6-8 weeks.”
