Boys and girls aged between the ages of 18 and 25 visited the Society of Industrial Development (CODEVI), a garment production unit.
These 124 youngsters will be upgraded with skills related to apparel production, during their three-month long stay.
These students are in CODEVI as part of a vocational training program conducted by Section Community Violence Reduction (CVR) in partnership with the Training Centre of the SOS Children's Village (VESOS).
CODEVI has been partnering with VESOS since the last three years in providing training to these students, who later are also offered job opportunities in the plant.
Most of the students including nearly one-third girls hail from troubled areas in and around Cap Haitien.
