Vitamins, the Mumbai-based lifestyle clothing brand from the house of Sangam Dresses Pvt. Ltd., catering to the fashion needs of girls aged 0-4 and 5-14 years, is setting up its own exclusive brand outlets (EBOs).

Launched in 2000, the brand's product range includes apparels, accessories and innerwear.

Mr. Ojas Nishar, Director, Sangam Dresses P. Ltd., told fibre2fashion, “We are coming up with our own retail stores. We will be opening our first store in Mumbai and over a period of time we are planning to open another 6-7 stores at one go at various locations across the country.”

Reacting about impact of the Government's decision to allow 100 percent foreign direct investment (FDI) in single-brand retail, he says, “FDI will not affect our business at all, rather it will help it grow. This is because our brand has a completely international look, so we are trying to get into the same kind of retailing as international brands, which, in turn, would upgrade our brand.”

Defending his plans for expansion at a time when several economies are witnessing a slowdown, he says, “Expansion amidst tough times depends on brand to brand. We are doing good business on a daily basis and we need to keep moving forward. Moreover, we are not experiencing any kind of negative impacts. We work in our own style and we do not bother how the world is reacting or what is happening in Europe or may be other parts of the world. I have set some standards for my brand and as far as I can fulfill them, the brand will continue to go ahead.”
