Kalamandir wins Master Brand & Retailer of the Year Award

Kalamandir South India's favorite designer saree destination was awarded Retailer of the Year Award for excellence in traditional fashion and lifestyle retailing on 14th February, 2012 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai in an event organized by the Asia Retail Congress. Kalamandir also won the title “Master Brand” at the awards hosted by CMO Council and CMO Asia.

On Feb 14, 2012, Sai Silks Kalamandir Ltd, leader in designer sarees was conferred with the Retailer of the year for excellence in traditional fashion and lifestyle retailing at Taj Lands End, Mumbai in an event organized by the Asia Retail Congress. The awards were hosted by CMO Council and CMO Asia and Kalamandir was awarded the “Master Brand” title.

Sai Silks Kalamandir Ltd is a group of companies with several top brands under its umbrella which have a strong presence in the Indian market.

Excited about the prestigious awards, Mr. Kalyan Annam of Sai Silks Kalamandir Ltd said, “We, at Kalamandir, are overwhelmed at being chosen for this esteemed award. The organizers of the event, the Asia Retail Congress focus on business leaders like CEOs, Presidents and Chairs of leading international and national retailers who believe in bringing forth a change and based on stringent criteria, confer the Awards for Retail Excellence. Based on various factors, they selected Sai Silks Kalamandir Ltd for Retailer of the Year Award.

Reacting to the “Master Brand” award from the CMO Council and CMO Asia, Mr. Kalyan Annam of Kalamandir commented “A Master Brand is defined as a “Singular, dominant brand that a firm embodies and projects over all its other brands” It is such an honor for Kalamandir to be awarded this title! Awards were presented by Chief Guest: Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, Co-founder of Marshall Goldsmith Partners & Coach; Bestselling Author; World-Renowned Thought Leader; World-class motivational Speaker: Award received by Mr. Kalyan Annam,CEO of Kalamandir.

Speaking about the “Master Brand” title, he said, “Master Brands typically appeal to consumers at every level regardless of their economic status. The Indian brandscape is going through an interesting phase with a healthy mix of popular international brands and local home grown brands emerging in every category."
