Marcelo Burlon to shoot Vicunha's S/S 2013 for VTrend
Mar '12
The Brazilian denim giant has an impressive fashion scene heavyweight on board for the new VICUNHA editorial. Marcelo Burlon, multi-talented fashion insider and visionary – will photograph the house's VTrends magazine for the Spring/Summer 2013 season.

Marcelo is one of the key players in the fashion business and the epitome of cool. As "the bouncer of the fashion world" – as described in a MATE interview – he alone decides who is invited to the big shows' after-show parties. Knowing him opens the doors to the most glamorous fashion society.

In the 1990s, the Argentinean began to make a name for himself in up-and-coming Milan. As a bouncer at the best clubs, even then he decided who was "in" and who was "out." He quickly became a networker par excellence, and had a major influence on the development of the underground scene. Marcelo promotes the "School of Cool" by capturing the spirit, style and values of the new generation. He himself became the face of a generation defined by creativity, spirit, freedom of opinion and fun.

Big houses and brands took note: first Dolce & Gabbana and Givenchy, then Chanel, Gucci, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Christian Dior, Versace, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen.

His production "Symphony of Milano" for the Lane Crawford concept stores caused quite the stir. The video short shows the who's who of Milan influencers dancing for Marcelo, who plays the conductor.

His 360-degree philosophy of life makes him a multi-talented visionary. With "Marcelo Burlon Enterprises" he gives rein to a huge range of creative impulses as a fashion consultant, art director, stylist, PR consultant, event manager, DJ, music producer, journalist (for GQ and Hero magazine, editor in chief of Rodeo magazine), photographer and blogger.

Marcelo Burlon: From Milan to Sao Paulo! With all his experience and his inexhaustible creative spirit in his baggage, Marcelo lands in Brazil, to set the scene for the campaigns and editorials for the VICUNHA Spring/Summer 2013 styles.
