Senior management appointments at Guess? Inc

Guess? Inc announced two important appointments to its senior management team. Joining the Company are Chet Kuchinad as Chief People Officer and Amber Tarshis as Senior Vice President, Marketing.

Mr. Kuchinad joined Guess? on February 1, 2012, reporting to Paul Marciano, Chief Executive Officer, and to the Board of Directors. In his position, he will lead all aspects of the Company's people strategy with particular focus on talent, engagement, employment branding, strategic rewards, along with organizational and leadership development. Mr. Kuchinad's experience also includes senior executive roles at Nike and Starbucks Coffee Company.

At Nike, he led global compensation and benefits, and served as the top HR executive for Asia Pacific human resources. At Starbucks, he was the executive vice president of partner resources responsible for all aspects of global human resources. Mr. Kuchinad graduated with an MS in Statistics from Marquette University.

Amber Tarshis joined the Company on February 13, 2012. In her role, Ms. Tarshis will lead all aspects of marketing, including retail marketing, consumer relationship management, special events and social media. She will report to Nancy Shachtman, President of North America, and to Paul Marciano and will work closely with him to develop and execute the Company's marketing strategies.

Ms. Tarshis' background includes marketing and brand management positions with well known brands such as Warner Bros. Entertainment, Puma and Victoria's Secret, where she ultimately served as Senior Vice President, Marketing. She most recently served as Chief Marketing Officer for The Hub TV Network, a joint venture between Discovery Communications and Hasbro, Inc., where she was responsible for brand identity, consumer advertising, creative services and integrated marketing promotion. Ms. Tarshis graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BA in English.
