Reliance Brands Limited, a part of the Reliance Industries Group, the largest private sector company in India, announced today an exclusive long-term franchise agreement with Thomas Pink Limited, a part of the renowned luxury group, LVMH.

Thomas Pink carries on the name and tradition of Mr Pink, crafting shirts which enshrine the British heritage of the iconic PINK hunting coat. In addition to shirts for men and women, Thomas Pink carries a wealth of luxurious silk ties, tailoring, knitwear and accessories. Through this association, Thomas Pink products will be available in major cities across India through exclusive mono-brand stores.

Commenting on the association, Jonathan Heilbron, President & CEO, Thomas Pink Limited said “Planting the Pink flag in India and bringing our unique tradition of fine shirt crafting and tailoring to the increasingly cosmopolitan Indian consumer has been a long standing personal dream.

In Reliance Brands we found a partner that not only understands and resonates our Brand values but also has a winning combination of people, infrastructure and market muscle that we aspire to have in a partner.”

Acquired by the LVMH Group in 1999, the Thomas Pink brand is rooted in the eighteenth century heritage of London's Jermyn Street and has built a reputation and following on its fine British shirt-making tradition.

Pink's reputation for quality derives not only from its superb choice of fabrics and its unfailing attention to detail in the craftsmanship, but also from its relentless pursuit of excellence in customer service.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Darshan Mehta, President & CEO, Reliance Brands Ltd. said “The Brand Thomas Pink epitomizes the finest traditions of British luxury craftsmanship.

Given the increasingly well-travelled and aspirational Indian consumer, their connect with international fashion brands and the gap in laddering them to luxury, the choice to partner with and launch Thomas Pink in India was obvious. It is a Brand with very high recall and will sit in the Indian wardrobes easily and naturally.”

In India, the offering will include a wide range of luxury shirts in modern designs and quality fabrics, as well as a rich selection of ties, knitwear and accessories.

Established in 1984, Thomas Pink is the leading international luxury shirt brand, specializing in the design and production of quality shirts and associated accessories for men and women. Part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy group, the British shirt maker has flagship stores in London's Jermyn Street, Madison Avenue, New York and Rue Francois Premier, Paris.

Reliance Brands Limited is part of the Reliance Industries Group. The Company began operations in October 2007 with a mandate to launch and build international and domestic brand equity in the premium to luxury segment across apparel, footwear and lifestyle business.
