The Antigua Group Inc, one of the nation's leading designers and marketers of genuine sports apparel under its Antigua brand - has been named the official apparel partner of the 2012 Family Circle Cup in Charleston, South Carolina.

Held every year since 1973, the Family Circle Cup is the largest women's-only tennis event in the world. The Family Circle Tennis Center, located on Daniel Island in Charleston, South Carolina, is the only tennis stadium built solely for women in the United States, and has been the tournament's home since 2001.

"We are very excited to have Antigua as the 'Official Apparel' of the Family Circle Cup", said Bob Moran, General Manager/Tournament Director. "Antigua's quality, design and comfort will enhance the look and feel of every aspect of our event. Antigua's world class reputation and products in golf will translate wonderfully as they introduce their new men's and women's tennis lines."

Antigua will be designated as a Premier Sponsor of the Family Circle Cup, and apparel from the Tennis Performance line will be sold at the event, which will be played from March 31 - April 8, 2012.

"We're all extremely proud to be affiliated with the Family Circle Cup," says Ron McPherson, President and CEO of Antigua. "Given their reputation for world-class tennis, loyal fans, and excellent facilities, we know that this event will be an excellent vehicle for presenting the Tennis Performance line to consumers who truly know and appreciate the game."

Headquartered in Peoria, Ariz., The Antigua Group, through its license sports division, holds license agreements with the NFL, Major and Minor League Baseball (MLB), the National Hockey League (NHL) and the National Basketball Association (NBA), along with numerous American universities and colleges for men's, women's and children's apparel, headwear and outerwear.
