Apparel and accessories label Woodland has unveiled its Spring Summer Collection 2012 comprising moisture wicking, sun protection and quick drying gear for outdoor and adventure lovers.

In keeping with Woodland's pro-planet initiative, the new collection features sturdy wear prepared from eco-friendly material while adhering to ecological processes, Woodland Managing Director Harkirat Singh said.

A few years back, Woodland took a bold decision of penetrating in smaller cities and towns. The move is now turning out to be of great advantage as increasing number of brands are now venturing in small towns.

Opening of outlets in Tier II and Tier III cities caused the number of Woodland stores being launched by the brand each year to more than double, as compared to a couple of years back when it launched 20 outlets per year.

The company plans to launch 60 new outlets in the next fiscal year, up from its opening of 50 outlets during the current fiscal, Mr. Singh said.

Mr. Singh said that with launch of new outlets and existing outlets registering around 12 to 15 percent growth, the company expects to grow by around 25 percent during next fiscal.

The 25 percent growth is expected over the Rs. 7.5 billion turnover that the company is expected to achieve by close of the current fiscal, he added.
