Marks & Spencer (M&S), UK's biggest retailer, will launch a new range of suits “Inspired by Savile Row” later this month.
The designs for the new suits are created by five designers, who had earlier worked with tailor Richard James.
These designers are working from an office taken on lease by M&S in the heart of London's tailoring district.
The new range consisting of seven wool suits are made using British fabric. However, the manufacturing has taken place in China.
M&S Chief Executive Marc Bolland said the cost of suits would go up three or four times the current prices if they are made in the UK.
He said the new office leased for a period of one year for “Inspired by Savile Row” brand shows the serious intent of M&S in making the new range a success.
