Seam tapes producer Bemis Associates opens Vietnam office

Bemis Associates Inc, the global leader in heat activated films and tapes, is pleased to announce the opening of an office in Hanoi, Vietnam. Since 1990 Bemis has had a presence in Asia and recognizes the growth of Vietnam as a leader in apparel and footwear manufacturing, as well as other industries. Effective March 2012, the office will provide local service with quicker response times for both factory visits and technical support.

Managing the Vietnam office will be Vincent Vu, who joined Bemis in November 2011. Vincent brings with him an extensive knowledge of and background in technical outerwear, having previously been employed at Shinwoo, Intermax and YoungOne.

"As a leading ingredient manufacturing company serving diverse industries, we looked closely at the development and growth trends in Vietnam and decided we needed to increase our commitment there for our existing customers and for prospective customers," said Steve Howard, President and CEO of Bemis. The opening of the Vietnam office expands our Asian network, which includes Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Sri Lanka. Bemis will also be opening an office in mainland China later in 2012.
