Internationally renowned workwear brand, Dickies has announced that it will be one of the sponsors at the prestigious 'Professional Clothing Awards' at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show 2012 on April 17th and 18th at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.

The Awards will celebrate cutting edge design; innovation and ingenuity throughout the workwear supply chain from corporate uniforms to safety garments and personal protective equipment (PPE) and is the only event in the UK which is solely dedicated to the professional clothing industry.

Dickies has grown to be the number one global manufacturer of workwear and is world famous for its comfortable, quality and highly durable garments and footwear. Established since 1922, Dickies stands for the quality, toughness and pride that embodies the spirit of workers the world over.

Dickies workwear is now sold throughout the USA, South Africa, Australia, Russia, Chile, Japan, Iceland, Canada, Europe and Mexico.

Maurice Morton, sales & marketing director at Dickies commented: “As the only event in the UK dedicated to the professional clothing industry, it is a 'must-do' for us to get involved in sponsoring the awards as opposed to a 'nice to do'. We are very much looking forward to the awards and the opportunity to recognise the talent, hard work and calibre of companies and individuals working within this vital sector.”

In addition to sponsoring the Professional Clothing Awards, Dickies will be exhibiting its mobile showroom at the Workwear and Corporate Clothing Show to showcase some of their fantastic new Dickies 22 range and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) with one-off, special discounted deals for attendees on the day.

Included in the new Dickies 22 collection is a range of new fashion-inspired Gasket and Torque Hoodies, Tundra Gilet, Forge and Galvanise T-Shirts, Anvil Polo shirts, Klaxon Shirt, Ergo Trousers, Oxide and Alloy Beanies.

The exciting new range of Dickies PPE products will also be exhibited offering wearers maximum protection, while maintaining comfort and range of vision at all times. The new range includes: Showa Gloves, Gel Knee Pads, Goggles, Safety Helmets, Bump Caps, a range of Safety Spectacles, Ear Defenders and Ear Plugs, Safety Helmet and Visor kits, Respirators, Disposable Respirators as well as some fantastic new additions to its Safety Footwear range.

Maurice Morton continued: “We are launching the first phase of our own PPE Head and Hand protection ranges. These will support our extensive EN certificated garment and footwear ranges making us a one-stop shop for customers. Dickies continues to research the market with a view to assessing what, if anything is missing from the PPE range in order to develop it further.

“We will also be officially launching our annual competition, the 'UK Worker of the Year 2012' on our stand and will be inviting visitors to the show to either apply or nominate a friend for the award of the UK's best worker."

"Now in its third year 'Dickies UK Worker of the Year' is the perfect competition for us to find and recognise the very best of Britain's workforce and what better place to launch it than at the most eagerly awaited date in the workwear and professional clothing industry's calendar.”

The Professional Clothing Awards 2012 already has representations from 15 countries with almost 300 delegates confirmed.
