China's Semir Garment to invest in logistics centre

Zhejiang Semir Garment Co. Ltd., which manufactures apparels under “Semir” and “Balabala” brands, plans to construct a warehouse and logistics centre at a cost of 250 million Yuan.
The new centre would come up in Wuqing district of Tainjin in northern China, where the apparel manufacturer would set up a fully-owned subsidiary to manage the centre.
The warehouse and logistics centre would be set up on an area of 123,334 sq m, of which 65,000 sq m would be earmarked for building premises.
It would help Semir Garment to improve its sales, logistics and other services for its north China business. It would thus lower operating cost for the company, while enhancing its logistics efficiency.
