Kolkata-based Dollar Industries Ltd., known for 'Bigboss' brand of innerwear, has posted sales of Rs. 4.5 billion in fiscal year 2011-12.
Nearly 24 percent of the turnover was generated by the popular 'Bigboss' brand, Mr. Vinod Gupta, Managing Director of Dollar Industries, said.
He informed that the sales of the innerwear brand have grown manifold after the company brought in actor Akshay Kumar as its brand ambassador.
Mr. Gupta said the company will renew its association with Akshay Kumar for three summer seasons beginning this year.
He said the company has set sales target of Rs. 5 billion by the end of the current fiscal 2012-13.
