The 6th Interfilière Hong Kong trade show grew by 10% in exhibition area this year with 170 exhibitors from 13 countries providing the world's leading sourcing platform for lingerie professionals with the highest quality. The 2012 show brought more product diversification in comparison to last year; 40% of suppliers showcased fabrics, 17% accessories, 16% laces and 9% embroideries. Additionally, this year the focus was growing the OEM and ODM sector and they represented 11%.

Interfilière Hong Kong has always been an international trade show and this year the Hong Kong show attracted 3,500 industry visitors from 47 countries. The top ten visiting countries and regions were China, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States, South Korea, Japan, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, France and Australia. The organizers recorded the main growth from South East Asia.

The reputation of the Hong Kong Interfilière show as the leading sourcing platform for intimates can be concluded from the trade visitors that were present during the 2 days. 60% of the visitors were CEOs, managing directors, heads of purchasing or buying departments as well as designers. The 4 themes are:
Light and Luxe: This trend is about re-interpretation of intimate memories and forgotten skills with new technology. It is a big revival of French style, detailed, light and frivolous. Lingerie should be delightfully intimate and precious. Adoption of delicate powdery colors with a hint of decadence.

Soft and Cosy: This trend is about dreaming of a world where the magic of transformation is reality. Inspiration came from a dream where the old rules and codes did not apply, a world where only creativity and playfulness counted.

Structured: Inspired by modernism in 20s, 50s and 60s, this trend is about the growing need for humility with regards to resources. The focus is on using modern technology for inspiration. Not only for comfort and construction, but also as an imaginary source. Pixels, fractalsand the onslaught of 3D technology boggles the mind. Technology is translated into a new direction of beauty.
