The Italian Trade Commission has submitted a list of 30 well-known Italian fabric and clothing brands to the Chinese State Intellectual Property Office, which are being sold in the Chinese domestic market under pseudo or similar sounding names.
This was revealed by Giovanni de Sanctis, of the Intellectual Property Department of Italian Trade Commission.
He said, “We have been able to confirm that renowned Italian fabric and apparel brands are being sold in China and Hong Kong under pseudo names”.
Among them, six are Chinese textile and clothing brands; they are Jajemon, Teentity, Larento, Milanair, Nino Ferletti Italy and Pochini. There is also a Korean brand - Bestibelli Milan sold in China and Hong Kong.
“In addition, there are more than 30 Chinese brands pending further inquiries” he added.
