Chrome Axe Apparel inks deal with The Survival Race

Chrome Axe Apparel, a firefighter inspired clothing brand, has partnered with The Survival Race in hopes of attracting more firefighters to take part in the opportunity to increase their fitness levels while participating in a 5K obstacle course/mud run. When asked about the partnership, Noe Garza of Chrome Axe said, "We know the guys at the station get bored doing the same exercises over and over, so we saw an opportunity for fellow firefighters to do something different, increase their fitness levels, and have fun at the same time."

Firefighters always need to be ready for anything and at a moments notice they get called into action and need to respond with high levels of intensity. This is where increased fitness levels among firefighters become critical to their success.

For example, firefighters wear SCBA bottles rated from anywhere between 20 to 45 minutes of air while fighting fires; however some firefighters can last up to twice as long as others using the same size bottles. These firefighters are then able to carry out additional firefighter duties and therefore are more effective. How is this possible? It's possible because these same firefighters are better at controlling their breathing, which stems from their high level of physical fitness.

As part of the partnership, Chrome Axe Apparel will produce every participant's race t-shirt and various other clothing items for each of the scheduled 2012 Survival Race events.

Chrome Axe is a firefighter owned company that designs high quality clothing items that express firefighter's values and integrity. By selling apparel with a positive reflection of firefighters Chrome Axe hopes to increase the support and admiration for firefighters in the local community and all over the world.
