May '12
Performance Days will take place in Munich from 9th-10th May 2012. To say that the Performance Forum at Performance Days is unique is no exaggeration. Nine tables plus the Performance Gate exhibit the key innovations for show the Summer 2014 in addition to the updates to the Winter 2013/14 collections. This means that the latest trends among functional fabrics nowhere can be seen earlier than here at the Performance Days!

The tables are set up according to the subjects and categories known to buyers, product managers, and designers through their routine work and communication. Each fabric displayed on the tables is co-equal to the others, all to be seen and felt with no product neglected and none highlighted over the others – the perfect opportunity for professional visitors to get a quick orientation and an overview of the manufacturers' latest ideas.

Exciting once again, the Performance Gate (former Innovation Tower) does justice to its name and presents the most important trends and discoveries in the industry. The most outstanding product in the category "Innovation" will be featured at the trade fair with the Performance Award. More information about this round's winner, La Fonte, is provided in the column about the Performance Gate.

The Trends by Tables:
• Waterproof & Breathable
• Softshell & 3-Layer
• Fleece & Brushed Knits
• Lightweight, Shirt & Bottomweight
• Knits
• Fancy
• Workwear
• Eco
• Accessories & Trimming
• 3-layers or laminates

The topic of weather protection for outdoor sports is of great importance even in the summer. As a result, numerous new developments are coming for summer 2014. Extra lights are the new grade, below 100 g/m² is the new standard that goes right to the boundary of the lightweights.
