Naked Sports Gear launched a sports apparel line for avid outdoor athletes that prevent tan lines. The company's first product, the Naked Sports Bra, is now available for purchase online at nakedsportsgear.com and in select New York City locations. Finally, women can minimize tan lines while keeping fit in the outdoors.

“As a passionate athlete, I have always chosen my sport over my appearance, especially when it comes to tan lines,” says Co-Founder and CEO Reilly Starr. “But now, with the help of my partner and designer, Katie Sue Nicklos, we can offer a sports bra that minimizes tan lines and provides support.”

Naked Sports Gear is a patent-pending concept that gives athletes innovative sports apparels that are moisture wicking and tan through. The Naked Sports Bra is a revised version of the traditional racer back sports bra. It uses lightweight mesh fabrics to cover the shoulders and back, minimizing tan lines everywhere except the breasts, which are covered by a quick-dry material that keeps the skin cool and dry.

“I never imagined I would be applying my passion for burlesque costume making and experience in stretch materials to a sports apparel line,” says Nicklos, co-founder and Chief Design Officer.

The Naked Sports Bra is a successfully backed Kickstarter project, a site that helps new and creative ideas get funding. In seven days, a funding goal of $10,000 was met and exceeded, concluding a total contribution of more than $13,000 from 138 backers.
