Mint Velvet, a UK-based retailer of womenswear, is geared up to increase the number of its standalone outlets in the UK by almost three-fold by 2015.
Pursuant to an aggressive retail expansion drive, the firm intends to take the number of its standalone outlets to around 20 to 30 over the next three years from its current count of 9 standalone stores in the UK.
The firm, established in 2009 by Clarks Chairman Peter Davies and the team of now non-operational womenswear chain Principles, currently also operates 83 concessions in the UK.
The retailer launched its most recent standalone outlet in Guildford, and now intends to launch two more outlets in Harrogate and Farnham in Surrey during this spring, Stuart Grant, Operations Director at Mint Velvet said.
He said though they are not discounting the prospects of opening more concessions, standalone outlets remain to be their main focus.
Followed by its recent launch of click-and-collect service, Mint Velvet is also planning to launch an international delivery service system through its UK website by year-end.
