India's ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi has ventured into virtual space by launching an online portal www.sports365.in to sell sports items including apparel and accessories.

The website, launched by the tennis players venture Live Sports365 E-Retail Private Limited, caters to sports enthusiasts of all ages and skills.

Speaking at the launch of the website, the tennis star said that such an initiative was overdue for sports practitioners and aficionados. Sports lovers often purchase equipments without any guidance, due to which at times they make a wrong choice or pick items that are not genuine or of poor quality.

The new website intends to provide people with best quality products and service to give them full customer satisfaction, he said.

In the growing e-commerce market, the website intends to become the first choice of consumers for all their sports and fitness related needs, by extending quality services through latest technology at reasonable rates, Mr. Bhupathi said.

At present, the portal offers more than 8,000 sports and fitness related products of famous international brands, including Adidas and Puma.

Together with Mr. Vishal Gupta and Mr. Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Mr. Bhupathi established the company Live Sports365 E-Retail Private Limited in 2011, as a professionally managed sports solution provider firm catering to individuals and institutions across India.

In order to develop a rapport with customers, the firm has also penetrated on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter to collect the views and comments of the customers.

Mr. Bhupathi said the firm intends to get in touch with potential customers to receive their feedback and suggestions to make the portal more lively, informative and interactive.
