Champion official apparel sponsor of LXM PRO event

LXM PRO formally announced a partnership with Champion Athleticwear for the 2012 pro tour. Champion will be the provider of uniforms and sideline apparel for LXM PRO events as well as the Presenting Sponsor for the event series. Creative uniform designs have been a hallmark of the LXM PRO Tour, teaming up with one of the leading athletic apparel brands in the U.S. will open up a world of opportunity to ensure athletes are outfitted in product that both looks and performs at an elite level.
The leading athleticwear brand has long been a top provider of performance and lifestyle apparel for athletes all over the world and continues to strengthen its ties with lacrosse. "We're excited to continue our support of the lacrosse community with the LXM PRO partnership," said Nadine Hall, President Champion and Retail Casualwear. "By teaming up with the LXM PRO Tour we are able to reach lacrosse fans and elite players across the US to help grow the sport at all levels. We like the tour because it includes both a sport and music component which enhances the overall event for the fans," said Cathy Marchant, Director Champion Brand Marketing.
LXM players are looking forward to being outfitted in Champion product for this year's tour. Former two-time Tewaarton Finalist, 1st Team All-American and UMASS Team Captain Sean Morris said of the brand's involvement, "Champion represents a lot of what our sport is about, outstanding tradition, authentic sports apparel, and absolute quality. I've seen the designs for the first event of the year and know players and fans of the sport are going to be equally excited about both the uniforms and the performance apparel we'll be wearing all year."
With an eight-city tour announced for 2012, a focus on quality partnerships was a goal for LXM during the off-season. With stops in cities like Austin, Las Vegas, San Diego, and Seattle the tour will cover a large portion of the western US. Athletes like Kyle Harrison, Mikey Powell, the Bratton Brothers, Sean Morris, Matt Russell, Alex Hewit, John Christmas, and other superstars will be headlining the event schedule and will be showcasing the high performance product offerings from Champion.
"Champion is one of the most well respected brands in sport, period. To put such high quality, custom designed sublimated uniforms on our athletes is something we're really fired up about," said LXM CEO Xander Ritz.
Champion will have on-site presence at all eight LXM events in 2012, including the first event of the year on June 2nd at Orange Coast College in Orange County, CA. A 900 square foot retail store will showcase the brand's lacrosse performance apparel and graphic Ts.
LXM Tour captures the unique cultural and lifestyle components of lacrosse through live events featuring forty of the sports' most elite athletes competing head to head in a full length professional game.
