Myntra.com – an online apparel and accessories retailer will introduce its private garment labels around November 2012.
Giving details, Ashutosh Lawania, co-founder of Myntra said the online retailer would begin private clothing labels and depending on the response would extend it to accessories.
Myntra is yet to decide on the pricing and name. It could be an eponymous name or have a different brand name.
Currently, the retailer offers around 300 brands which include Arrow, Adidas, Lee, Levis, Puma, Wrangler, etc.
Myntra is also in the process of offering a virtual trial room to its customers.
This move from Myntra comes mainly due to the fact that private label margins are as high as 50 percent.
