In order to cash-in from the e-commerce boom, Woodland has launched an e-shopping website.

Explaining the rationale behind Woodland launching the e-shopping website, Mr. Harkirat Singh, Managing Director of Woodland, told fibre2fashion, “We decided to come up with a parallel e-commerce portal since we felt it to be the need of the hour due to the growing online connectivity in the country and consequently, the growing demand for online purchase options.”

“Another reason for venturing into e-commerce is infeasibility to be physically present everywhere. E-commerce is the only viable option to offer the entire range to our customers in a convenient and accessible manner,” he adds.

Mr. Singh views e-commerce as a developing medium of business that has already proved successful across the globe. “With the increasing online penetration, the e-commerce medium has a strong growth prospect in India,” he avers.

Woodland’s e-commerce portal is a direct extension of its sales’ touch-points and hence, it would have the extensive product range that is available in Woodland stores.

“The product range would be updated on a regular basis so that Woodland fans are aware and are in tune with the developments in our offerings along with the vast range,” says Mr. Singh.

Woodland plans to stand-out from other e-shopping apparel websites on the basis of brand loyalty and genuine and extensive Woodland product range.
