Target Corp. has partnered with Marvel Entertainment, LLC to extend “The Amazing Spider-Man” fan experience beyond the big screen with a selection of merchandise inspired by the summer action movie.

Target guests will find a variety of “The Amazing Spider-Man”-themed toys, clothing, bedding and movies in stores and online through a special web boutique at Target.com/spiderman.

From décor and DVDs to comic books and toys, Target has everything for the Spider-Man super fan. Target will also carry the hottest entertainment items and apparel like the Spider-Man vs. Doctor Octopus book, the “Spider-Man 3” Blu-Ray Combo Pack, the Amazing Spider-Man Hero Mask, and an exclusive Spider-Man pajama set that will transform any average Peter Parker into a crime-fighting machine.

“There is no doubt that our guests will get caught up in the excitement and adventure of Spider-Man when they swing into Target this summer,” said Casey Carl, Target’s senior vice president of merchandising and president of multichannel.

“Our partnership with Marvel furthers our commitment to offering must-have merchandise for the hottest entertainment titles – like this summer’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ – and being the ultimate fan destination.”

For guests eager to join in the crime-fighting action, Target has infused the shopping experience with the spirit of the film. The movie comes to life in-store with interactive floor graphics and displays of “Spidey” perched atop “city building,” aiming his signature spider webs at the ceiling.

Target’s broadcast ad for “The Amazing Spider-Man” features a boy who gets into the “Spidey” spirit with gear from Target and then encounters the Super Hero himself – also clad in Target accessories – while scaling a building.

“Marvel fans can’t get enough of the Spider-Man franchise and are eager to share in the excitement of the new ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ adventure,” said Mark Rhodes, senior vice president of North American Retail Development at Marvel Entertainment. “Our partnership with Target allows us to reach these loyal fans across the country and let them interact with the film through an assortment of ‘Spidey’-themed gear.”

Minneapolis-based Target Corporation serves guests at 1,763 stores across the United States and at Target.com.

Marvel Entertainment, LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, is one of the world's most prominent character-based entertainment companies, built on a proven library of over 8,000 characters featured in a variety of media over seventy years.
