Calvin Klein Underwear, a division of the Warnaco Group Inc. announced that apparel designer Brian Reyes has joined the company as Vice President and Head of Global Design. Reyes will lead the global design team and will be responsible for the development of all products for the Calvin Klein Underwear Men’s and Women’s lines.

Since its inception, Calvin Klein Underwear has led the market by offering consumers cutting edge design, innovative fabrics, and exceptional fit and quality. Today, it continues to evolve its reputation as the brand of choice for consumers who want modern, bold, and sexy designer underwear and intimate apparel. Mr. Reyes will report to Bob Mazzoli, Chief Creative Officer of Calvin Klein Underwear.

“Brian is an exceptional talent who brings tremendous experience and keen awareness of current fashion trends in men’s and women’s design,” said Mr. Mazzoli. "He is an accomplished and creative leader who will serve as a great inspiration for our own talented designers, ensuring that great design leads the process by which the Calvin Klein Underwear brand extends its long-standing leadership position.”

“I am delighted to be taking on this new and exciting role,” said Mr. Reyes. “The underwear category is unique in that it is a fundamental basic, but has so much possibility to be intriguing, sexy and desirable. Calvin Klein in particular has such incredible history and brand power. I look forward to providing long-term creative direction for this quintessential iconic global brand.”

Martha Olson, Group President, said, “We are very fortunate to have Brian join the Company to drive the creative vision of Calvin Klein Underwear. Over the past decade, Brian has established himself as a fashion innovator with broad customer appeal. His addition to the team will heighten our focus on the consumer as we build on Warnaco’s commitment to be brand, product and consumer focused in everything we do. We look forward to his contributions in further evolving the Calvin Klein Underwear brand.”

Reyes has an extensive and diverse background in fashion, spanning more than 10 years. He began his career at Polo Ralph Lauren and went on to contribute to a number of top fashion houses, including Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta and most recently TSE Cashmere House.

While at Michael Kors, he helped re-launch and build the men’s business, working directly under Mr. Kors’ direction. He received his first exposure to intimate apparel while serving as the Director of Design Licensing at Oscar de la Renta, which first sparked his affinity for the category. He launched his eponymous line inspired by nature, architecture, art and photography, which developed a strong celebrity following. As part of his collection, he developed a small lingerie line.

The Warnaco Group, Inc., headquartered in New York, is a leading global apparel company engaged in the business of designing, sourcing, marketing and selling men’s, women’s and children’s sportswear and accessories, intimate apparel, and swimwear under such owned and licensed brands as Calvin Klein, Speedo, Chaps, and Warner's and Olga.
