Invista displays product innovations at Galleria Intima

Invista, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of polymers and fibers, and owner of the LYCRA fiber brand, showcased some of their latest product innovations at Galleria Intima, the first and only sourcing event for intimate apparel segment in the country. Organized by the Intimate Apparel Association of India (IAAI), the event was attended by leading manufacturers, retail brands and fashion designers.

Innovations in the intimate apparel segment like Narrows with LYCRA fiber, LYCRA fiber with W Technology, LYCRA BEAUTY fabric, COOLMAX fabric and THERMOLITE fabric were showcased at this coveted event.

The intimate apparel market is evolving at a very fast rate. However, the consumers’ purchase behavior towards intimate wear hasn’t been fully understood by most brands. To better understand the consumer usage and attitude towards intimate wear, Invista shared key insights during the event. The presentation titled, ‘Winning with Intimate Apparel Consumer’ by Andrew Evans, Managing Director, South Asia, Invista Pvt.

Ltd and Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head for South Asia, Invista Apparel focused on an overview of the Intimate Apparel Market in India, consumer perception, buying behavior and their needs and preferences.

“Consumers want to keep their wardrobe as per last fashion trends and are very particular about what they wear. Word of mouth is an important driver of the category as consumers discuss trends among family and friends. Moreover, in today’s economy, quality at the right price is an important factor to create value for consumers and earn their loyalty”, said Andrew Evans at the seminar.

Commenting further on the event, he said “We are proud to be a part of this unique initiative taken by IAAI. Galleria Intima, being country’s first and only sourcing event for the intimate apparel segment, gave us a great opportunity to interact with the various stakeholders of the industry. It reiterates our commitment towards this segment & helped us showcase our product innovation to relevant players.”

At Galleria Intima, we showcased fiber and fabric innovations like Narrows with LYCRA fiber, LYCRA fiber with W Technology, and LYCRA BEAUTY fabric which were all well received by the various manufacturers, brands and designers.

Also, present at the event were Invista’s key customers like PS Fashions and Abhay Group, who exhibited their products with LYCRA fiber and other innovative fabric technologies by Invista.

Invista also showcased a variety of products with LYCRA fiber at its stall, manufactured by its key customers like PS Fashions, Sachinam Fabrics and Ginza Industries.
