BEM-CA, a new company formed in Honduras

Business Enterprise Management - Central America (BEM-CA) a new company, based in Honduras, brings international credentials on business process excellence to Central America. It is offering its consulting, training, and certification services to the many businesses and industries in Honduras as well as the rest of Central America.

The company is a partnership of three business leaders.
 
Tony Medina has been a business leader in the local apparel community for many years. Through his Thread and Trim newsletter, he has promoted Lean as means for Central American businesses to compete in a global economy. He is a leader in Rotary International through his participation in WASRAG and D4250. Mr. Medina is deeply committed to promoting local businesses as well as promoting Foreign Direct Investment into Honduras. 
 
Greg Wooten is expert in Lean. His credentials can be traced to his training in Japan and the US for a major automotive manufacturer where he was responsible to translating the Japanese system to the United States. Mr. Wooten has used his knowledge and experience across a wide range of other industrial and service-oriented operations including apparel, food processing, logistics, and healthcare. He remains in contact with his Japanese Lean sensei.
 
Pete Pankratz is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt with deep experience in statistical methods, especially in designing experiments. He has a track record of helping large operations with the introduction of improvement initiatives. Mr. Pankratz is the author of several publications on the use of statistics in industrial and laboratory settings.
 
Individually, the BEM-CA team members have successfully been using their Lean and Six Sigma capabilities for many years throughout the world. These state of the art techniques have been demonstrated to reduce costs while simultaneously improving quality and on-time delivery that will, in turn, improve the company's competitiveness in the global market.
 
Even for operations that have been using the methods of Lean and Six Sigma for years, the BEM-CA team has been able to show how to wrest additional savings from the operation while improving on-time delivery and quality.
