Qatar Luxury Group set to launch its first luxury brand

Qatar, a small country located in the Arabian Peninsula, is all set to join the league of fashion savvy nations owning premium luxury apparel labels.
Qatar Luxury Group, owned by the Qatar Foundation, is soon going to launch its first ever fashion and accessories brand QELA.
The Group plans to initially launch the luxury brand in Qatar, before expanding to other countries.
“We are currently working on the collection for our luxury fashion brand. Doha and the Qatari market are going to be our main focus when we initially launch our very first boutique,” Ms. Caroline Guillon, Marketing Director of the company told fibre2fashion.
When quizzed about the brand’s global expansion plans, she says, “We may have plans to take the luxury brand outside of Qatar, but it will be in the subsequent months or years.”
The Group would consider launching a chain of luxury boutiques in fashion conscious cities like New York, Paris, Los Angeles, Milan, London and Tokyo.
