Dates announced for Stitch Menswear Trade Show

Stitch Menswear Trade Show has announced its dates as 12th – 13th February 2013, picking a mid week Tuesday Wednesday format instead of its usual Sunday and Monday dateline. After extensive research they found that Sunday is now part of “weekend trading” for lots of retailers and Monday is a real challenge for buyers to complete their sales meetings. This change is a direct comment on addressing the needs of the buyers to ensure maximum footfall.

“After 6 seasons we felt confident that our dates could move and improve the footfall of the show as well as making it more affordable and manageable for brands and buyers. We are excited to announce the dates as we feel that this will improve the shows attendance which is our overall aim.” Brian Duffy: Stitch MD.

Stitch menswear has three clear sections to help direct buyers and interest and give a clear identity to the brands showing. The main Stitch area will be for some of biggest UK and International brands offering them the tradeshow environment they require with a host of UK and International buyers and retailers attending the show. Switch will house the strongest streetwear brands currently dominating the market with Vision offering a unique platform for developing brands to have a presence in a successful tradeshow arena.

Stitch has had a positive response from resigns as well as enquiries from new brands. For the Vision area resigned brand Mark Thomas Taylor will be showing along with L’envie and Original Eskimo and Switch will be showing brands including RVCA, Federation Clothing, Panuu, WeSC and Famous Stars and Straps. Following on from its successful launch last season, even more exciting streetwear brands will soon be announced for the Switch area. The main Stitch area will once again be showing a strong selection of menswear brands including resigned brands Bench and Royal Elastics.

‘The decision to show again at Stitch was a simple one based on the success we had in July. Stitch gives us an ideal platform to show the brands constant progress to a quality set of UK buyers at all levels. The UK is a very tough and competitive marketplace and I feel it’s essential we keep informing the market of the investment we are putting into the UK. I’m more than confident that we can capitalise and build on July’s success in February’ Jamie Nichols; Bench – UK Sales Manager.

"Mark Thomas Taylor will be exhibiting at Stitch for our second time. We got some great accounts at the last show and found it's a great platform for new brands like ours to meet key accounts. There's a great atmosphere and it's always good to get instant feedback on collections. We're looking forward to growing our distribution both in the UK and Internationally."
