Aspaeris, a company that provides performance-enhancing, injury-prevention compression sportswear for female athletes, announced the launch of the 2013 Aspaeris Pivot Shorts Gen2.

In response to a growing community of athletes using the original Pivot Shorts, the Aspaeris team has developed this second-generation short with enhanced fabric, fit and compression features.

The new APS Gen2 boasts an improved fabric weave with reinforced seams that will extend the compression life of the short, as well as a stylish, colorblock logo. Additional features include a newly designed crotch, comfort waistband, and adjustability of the dual layers at the leg opening.

Like the original Pivot Short, the Gen2 has an inner short with Dual Sensory Compression Bands that help guide the athlete into proper position while she pivots and runs, which powers performance, speeds recovery, and prevents injuries. The APS Gen2 will be available in the New Year and will come in black and a newly-released Aspaeris pink. Aspaeris will also offer a special gift certificate for the Gen2 to current Pivot Short users.

"The Gen2 promises to bring increased comfort and durability to our athletes, as well as cutting-edge technology in compression fabric at a very affordable price," remarks Aspaeris Marketing Director, Kari Ricigliano.

“This design has come from a year of direct feedback from endurance runners and athletic fabric specialists, as well as many of our Pivot Short users. We are so excited to unveil what we believe to be a truly superior compression short for the female athlete.”

The APS Gen2 has been well received by 24 female testers ranging in age and athletic pursuits. Many remarked on the comfortable fit and compression benefits. Endurance runner Jacqueline Garonzik Wang, who plays soccer twice a week, races long-distance regularly and completed several marathons and a Half Ironman last year, wrote in her review, “I love them! I wore them on a 15 mile run last weekend and they were great! My favorite new feature is the fact that the two layers are not attached. It makes them so much easier to put on and so much more comfortable. Fantastic upgrades!"

Founded by Samara Innovations, LLC in 2010, Aspaeris is a female-centric sportswear company that strives to protect athletes from injury and enhance their performance with advanced compression apparel.
