Anders Kristiansen to join New Look as CEO

New Look announces the appointment of Anders Kristiansen as its new Chief Executive. Anders, 45 will start with New Look on 7 January 2013; he joins from Bestseller Fashion Group China, the largest fashion retailer in China, where he was Vice Chief Executive.

Commenting on Anders appointment, New Look Chairman Alistair McGeorge said, "I am delighted that Anders is to be New Look’s next Chief Executive. He brings with him significant multinational retail experience and we very much look forward to welcoming him and working together."

Anders Kristiansen said, "New Look is a great brand and I am very pleased to be given the opportunity to lead the company forward at this exciting stage. The challenge for the next few years is to build upon the solid foundations that have been laid by Alistair McGeorge and Tom Singh. I am greatly looking forward to working closely with them and the rest of the New Look team."

Anders has most recently been Vice Chief Executive of Bestseller Fashion Group China, the largest fashion retailer in China with over 5,500 stores. He joined Bestseller from Staples, the fortune 500 company listed on NYSE, where he was President China and SVP Staples Inc. Before that he was at Lyreco, an office supplies company where he was Managing Director Asia Pacific and formerly Managing Director Europe. Prior to this he held senior positions at Herlitz and GBC Corp.

New Look is the No. 2 value retailer for women’s clothing and accessories market in the UK and the No. 1 value retailer for the under 35s women’s clothing and accessories market, including footwear. We have over 1,100 stores across the globe in 16 countries.
