Etiqueta Negra to feature bridal & party-wear collections

This new event, which replaces Madrid Novias, offers a renewed fair concept, based on an approach that has been adapted to the latest developments, including new and attractive features that cast a spotlight on the latest ceremonial wear and party-wear collections

ETIQUETA NEGRA is the name of the new brand that has been created by IFEMA for a new fair with an innovative approach, one that is tailored to the market today. The fair will cater for all companies, firms and designers who offer clothing collections for special occasions, featuring a special emphasis on bridal wear, ceremonial attire and party-wear.

This new event, to be staged from 10th to 12th May 2013, replacing MADRID NOVIAS, is born with the goal of catering for new market demands, effectively presenting a series of collections designed for special and unique events.

Specifically, ETIQUETA NEGRA will focus on the market for dresses and outfits to be worn at special events and occasions in the widest sense of the term, including tailor-made creations, which are often referred to as "black labels" or "etiquetas negras". At the same time, the fair will continue to expand its range of products and ideas for First Communion attire, Wedding Fashion and other clothing for special events.

Furthermore, a series of fashion parades featuring the latest ideas from designers and brands will play a leading role at ETIQUETA NEGRA, specifically at the fair's Catwalk known as PASARELA CIBELES MADRID NOVIAS, which will be staged to coincide with the trade activity at the stands over the first two days of the fair (10th and 11th May) in Hall 14.1 itself, which is where the fair takes place.

The specific name of this fair and that of its Catwalk has been preceded by the creation of MOMAD, Madrid Fashion Events, the new umbrella brand that will bring together all of the fashion fairs organised by IFEMA from now on. In this respect, the MOMAD brand will not only be used for ETIQUETA NEGRA, but also for the joint staging of SIMM and MODACALZADO, which is scheduled to take place next September.

The presentation of the new ETIQUETA NEGRA brand has also been accompanied by the development of a new image for the event. The poster, which features an elegantly dressed couple in a suggestive dance pose, will serve as the best introduction to the renewed approach that has been adopted by this fair. Furthermore, its film-like style evokes all the glamour and good taste of old cinema and theatre posters.  

Furthermore, the poster for ETIQUETA NEGRA reflects the 360º perspective of wedding fashion that the promotional images for MADRID NOVIAS have always offered. The result is an image that creates a wide-ranging and global idea of clothing for all kinds of special occasions, one that also serves as a guiding thread that introduces us to the diverse range of collections to be presented at ETIQUETA NEGRA and its Catwalk, PASARELA CIBELESMADRID NOVIAS.
