Located in the Sobro Arts District, M.H. Pomander’s offers a service-focused experience, according to owners Martha Plager and Helene Massey. Massey notes, “We are so proud to be partnering with Erin to provide Indianapolis brides with not only a unique dress shopping experience but also a multifaceted one. Our vision for M.H. Pomander’s has materialized into destination shop for brides who need everything from wedding dresses, to accessories, to alteration services.”
M.H. Pomander’s offers a diverse selection of couture wedding gowns, mother of the occasion dresses, veils and accessories. Pieces by Augusta Jones, Ivy & Aster, Jenny Yoo, Lea-Ann Belter, Modern Trousseau and other couture designers populate the store, amplifying the boutique feel and one-on-one focus that Massey and Plager emphasize as the driving force behind their bridal store.
In-house dressmaker Erin Young contributes a sense of creativity and individuality to M.H. Pomander’s with her dressmaking and alteration services, according to Massey and Plager. Her technique, honed by years of experience in custom dressmaking and alterations, offers brides-to-be the options they want when looking for the perfect dress. Young comments, “joining forces with Helene and Martha offered the perfect opportunity to create a destination shop where brides could gain access to unique designer dresses and practiced alteration services.”
Helene Massey and Martha Plager, the founders of M.H. Pomander’s, and Erin Young have together created a store that offers both couture dresses and the ability to alter them to suit their needs.
Couture-trained dressmaker Erin Young can not only make your dress fit perfectly, but she can also turn it into the wedding dress of your dreams (if it isn’t already!).
M.H. Pomander’s was born out of the shared love for beauty, fashion and bridal shops that brought Indianapolis based owners Helene Massey and Martha Plager together years ago.
