Russia is the latest national team to sign on with Columbia, following Canada’s sponsorship in 2008 and the U.S. which signed on last year. Russia will be an important partner for Columbia as they compete on their home mountain in Sochi as the hosts of the 2014 Winter Olympics.

Columbia’s ski technology is uniquely suited to the demands of these specialized athletes: mobility, breathability and comfort are key in disciplines like moguls and aerials which involve extended periods of waiting in cold conditions followed by short bursts of intense effort. Additionally, athletes travel all over the world for competition and temperatures from venue to venue can vary drastically.

The U.S. moguls team will make use of one of these Cyberstretch styles – the Wildcard IV Softshell – as their go-to competition jacket. Other pieces in the U.S. lineup include the Key Three Softshell, the Bugaboo Pant and Ridge 2 Run II Pant. The team has returned to a classically patriotic look-and-feel for the upcoming season with bold red, white and blue color-blocking and un-patched versions of all of these styles will be made available to consumers for purchase online at Columbia.com.
