Mimivail debuts new little girls fresh & classic dresses

Each dress comes with an exclusive handcrafted bracelet designed by the women living in Jinja, Uganda, an initiative that helps empower these artisans, and their children. Every season a newly designed bracelet will be introduced to complement the collection.

“We believe every girl deserves the opportunity to experience a childhood that fosters playing, learning and growing,” says founder Vail Weymann Vasisht. “Childhood is a special time in a girl’s life, and mimivail helps memorialize these extraordinary years through our collection of fresh, classic dresses for the ages.”

Believing in the goodness of little girls and the power of positive role models, the brand is presented through 5 fictional personalities. With a bit of Vail, her mother and her grandmother, Mimi, in each of them, these girls illustrate the importance of their unique identities in establishing their distinctive futures. The accent is on clean, confident, boundless living and wholesome aspirations. As the brand grows, so will their wardrobes and stories.

Bridget: A sporty red-headed seven-year old from Boston, Bridget enjoys the outdoors and checking on her family’s lobster traps. Bridget also loves to throw on her mimivail classic rick-racked trimmed jumper when playing with her brother.

Scarlet: The youngest of five and the only girl, Scarlet, mimivail’s spirited Texan, has fun keeping up with her rascally older brothers. But, when it’s time to clean up, she loves putting on her peppy plaid mimivail dress.

Ruby: Confident and only eight, Ruby loves music, traveling and learning about other cultures. Having recently moved to NYC from Kenya, Ruby wore her little grey dress for the inauguration ceremony… her mom works for the UN.

Emi: Living in Tokyo with her parents and younger sister, this six year old is a huge animal lover. She recently had her birthday at the Ueno Zoo and wore her favorite mimivail navy twill dress.

Isabelle: Bonjour. Isabella hails from the 7th Arrondissement in Paris near the Musee D’Orsay where her mother volunteers. With her favorite color being pink it’s no wonder she fell in love with mimivail’s pink wool dress, the buttons of which come from France too!
