Spain to host its first fashion summit at Barcelona

Barcelona Fashion Summit, Spain’s first-ever professional forum exclusively meant for its booming fashion and apparel industry, which plays a significant role in the overall Spanish economy, will take place from January 31, 2013.
Organized by the nation’s leading fashion publishing house Modaes.es, the day-long event will be attended by over 300 professionals, belonging to the fashion and apparel industry.
Representatives of well-established apparel manufacturers like Inditex, Cortefiel, Desigual, Adolfo Dominguez, Tous, Shana, Forever 21 and Kiabi will present their views at the conference.
Themed as ‘Fashion 2020: Horizons of Fast Fashion Business’, the summit will address issues related to the changes in consumer habits, the challenges of internationalization as well as pricing and procurement strategies.
