Japanese conglomerate Wacoal Holdings Corp will be opening more outlets of its innerwear brand ‘La Rosabelle’ in Shanghai, Chengdu, Guangzhou and other Tier-II cities across China during the current year.
Wacoal had launched its new brand La Rosabelle last year, specially aimed at Chinese mid-end market. It targets young women in the age group of 20 to 28, who are keen on following fashion trends.
The company first opened its La Rosabelle store in Beijing in June last year and it now aims at opening more stores this year.
The Japanese firm has set a target to have 130 La Rosabelle lingerie outlets in China by December 2014, and earn revenue of US$ 12.8 million or roughly about half of the company’s total annual earnings in China.
