UNIQLO will provide a total of around 4,900 items of clothing featuring each team's official logos for Special Olympics athletes. Within this total, UNIQLO Japan will supply some 1,200 items, UNIQLO South Korea, 3,200, and UNIQLO Singapore, 500, to their respective national teams.
Since 2002, UNIQLO has supported Special Olympics Nippon by providing apparel to athletes and sending employees to assist at events as volunteers. UNIQLO's support of the 2013 world winter games is a natural extension of its long-term commitment to the Special Olympics movement.
The Special Olympics is an international sports organization that provides opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities to train and compete year-round.

Date: January 29 through February 5, 2013
Place: PyeongChang and Gangneung, South Korea
Participants: Approximately 14,900 people from 120 countries including 3,300 athletes, coaches and officials, as well as volunteers and accompanying family members.
Sports : Alpine skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, short-track speed skating, figure skating and floor hockey.
