Smack Sportswear, the leader in indoor and beach volleyball apparel, signed a deal with the #1 ranked female beach volleyball player in the U.S., Whitney Pavlik, to represent the company for the 2013 season. Whitney joins partner Jenny Kropp, a current Smack athlete, on what is now being referred to as "Team Smack."

Jenny and Whitney dominated the U.S. pro volleyball tour in 2012 like no other team ever has, sweeping all the Jose Cuervo Pro Volleyball events, and finishing no worse than third in all the other pro events. Whitney's defensive skills were a key factor to all their victories. In 2013, "Team Smack" plans to also take their skills to the FIVB tour, which will allow Smack's athletic bikinis to be featured worldwide.

"With the retirement of Misty May, Whitney is arguably the best defender in the world," stated Smack CEO Bill Sigler. "We look forward to having Jenny and Whitney not only sporting our gear on and off the court, but also plan to use them to promote our brand through point of purchase displays and a national advertising campaign. We also believe playing on the FIVB tour will open distribution channels internationally."

Recently, with the growth of Sand Volleyball at the NCAA, as well as the club level, Smack's beach uniform business is on the verge of exploding. Jenny and Whitney will be showcasing many of the 2013 beach uniform items on tour this season, as well as be featured in all related promotional materials
