Salman Khan’s ‘Being Human’ to launch women’s apparel

February 27, 2013 (India)

‘Being Human’ - the lifestyle brand of Salman Khan Foundation, plans to introduce an exclusive womenswear line consisting of T-shirts, denims, trousers and hot pants from April this year.

The brand has already introduced watches for women, but its apparel range has so far been only for men. But many young female fans of the 47-year-old actor wear Being Human T-shirts to show their support to the versatile actor.

With the launch of the women’s clothing range, the fairer sex would get an opportunity to spot better fitting T-shirts while supporting the Salman Khan Foundation.

Mandhana Industries, the Mumbai-based textiles and apparel firm, has the exclusive license to manufacture, distribute and retail Salman Khan's 'Being Human' apparel range worldwide.

“The Being Human women’s collection would be launched from April this year,” Mitesh Shah, VP, finance and corporate affairs at Mandhana Industries, told fibre2fashion.

The Being Human brand has exclusive outlets in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Ludhiana, and new outlets are being planned in several other Indian cities.

The brand has ambitious plans to increase its turnover from the current Rs. 350 million to about Rs. 3.5 billion by 2015.
