Mr. Lamoureux has been involved in fashion since he was a child. He became involved in his profession through the love of the apparel and fashion business, it is highly dynamic and ever changing; tasks are never the same. This momentum makes things interesting and exciting at all times.
This profession allows him to work with many people, all diverse in nature; hence good ideas flourish and success is the reward. Mr. Lamoureux is described as a fully rounded executive, a visionary with intergrity, excellent communication skills and exudes passion.
He has worked with major retailers and wholesalers including Sears Canada Inc., Williamson-Dickie Canada Co. and Wal-Mart Canada Corp. He possesses the ability to implement structures and processes' together, and through his many experiences in the business, he is able to analyse and strategize in the industry.
Mr. Lamoureux has held several positions, which have included buying and senior managerial roles. He has a knack of knowing the difference between a winner and a loser. Moreover, Mr. Lamoureux works as a team and travels internationally working as a member on the Global Committee ensuring quality assurance and technical and testing standards for all Wal-Mart Canada as well as building strategic partners for the production and developing of products, researching trends in developing the Wal-Mart brand.
At present, he is in charge of ensuring financial and strategies are delivered while ensuring the integrity of the apparel within the Canadian Market; deciding the colors and trends that will meet the customers needs and expectations by delivering price, quality and style. He has travels globally, to work with his counterparts as well as to researche trends and sourcing opportunities. Mr. Lamoureux currently manages a team four senior managers, hires staff members, conducts interviews, and works on the redevelopment of best practices.
Mr. Lamoureux is an experienced, results-focused business strategist with close to 35 years of expertise in financial budget management, market and customer analytics, and retail merchandise management. He attributes his success to his passion, confidence, drive and deternimation. Enjoying people, team building, mentoring associates to his own personal success. He takes pleasure in being extremely involved in his community and helping organizations that work with children and the homeless.
